Bringing Financial Education to Public Schools
Most Americans who participated in our public education system did not receive a proper education on personal finances and financial planning. Many people learned through watching their parents and friends, while others obtained information via marketing collateral produced by financial services firms in an effort to sell specific financial products.
The Financial Educators Network™ seeks to help connect adults with financial education courses in safe educational settings free from sales collateral and high pressure sales tactics that dominate the industry today.
Courses are taught by experienced industry practitioners who are licensed and trained to provide financial planning services, but are not allowed to promote their firms or any specific investment products.
The Need for "Retirement Education"
Each day for the next 15 years, over 10,000 Americans will reach retirement age. Most of them were never offered a formal education on personal finance and have relied on "sales collateral" from financial services firms to learn about financial planning. As a result, a large number of Americans are financially unprepared for their retirement years.
The Financial Educators Network™ brings financial education to our public schools by bringing highly qualified and trained industry practitioners into the classroom.
